Program Owner of Mentoring Program: Josh Lerner
Josh has over 15 years experience in international technology projects. He lives in New York City and works in the Wall Street area, serving as an Information Technology Project Manager with New York City Transit, the largest transportation system in North America. Josh is the PM for many State and City government technology projects using the Oracle-PeopleSoft Application to interface with a myriad of Biometric and Identification systems and Barcoding Systems. His partnerships include working with U.S. DMV Jurisdictions, U.S. Dept. Homeland Security, FBI & Dept. Criminal Justice Services. Also served as the Chairman for Agency's Technology Division to implement a new Methodology and PMO to be used for all major Technology Projects, responsible for ensuring best practices and processes supporting the IT Project Life Cycle. Formerly, Josh was an Assistant Vice President for Merrill Lynch located in New York's Financial district. Mr. Lerner's responsibility concentrated on managing the Global Operational Reporting for International Stakeholders in Asia, Europe, Japan, North America and Canada. Prior to Merrill Lynch he was an IT Project Manager for American Express focused on System Integration Projects. Josh is a graduate of George Washington University School of Business & Public Management earning his Masters in Information Technology & Project Management. Under the direction of Vasilj Petrovic, VP Professional Development, Josh is heading up the PMI IT & Telecom Mentoring Program, and has formed an experienced Steering Committee from Greece and London mentioned below.
