VP of Technology: Luis Garcia

Luis Garcia is a project manager at EMC Consulting. He has more than 6 years of experience in the consulting industry managing custom application development projects and more than 9 years experience in the IT industry as a whole. Industries in which Luis has extensive experience in project management, team leadership, and technical knowledge include Financial Services, Oil and Gas, Insurance, Health Care Management and Construction.

Luis was certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2007 and as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) by the Scrum Alliance in 2008. He specializes in agile project management with a user experience (UX) focus while having a proven ability to identify and manage projects that align with organizational objectives. Luis is currently engaged in projects that implement Scrum while still practicing the values expressed in the Project Management Body of Knowledge. His favorite project management pastime is educating management teams in the value of building software using the Scrum methodology.

Luis holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in Management Information Systems. He has lived in Dallas, Texas his entire life but travels the world every chance he gets.
