Manager of Portuguese and French Webinar Series: Rogério Prado Manso

As a volunteer at the PMI IT&T SIG, Rogério Prado Manso participated in the ProjectWorld 2008 Event in Toronto, Canada and is currently a mentor within the Mentoring Program at the SIG.


Biography

Rogério Prado Manso is the Senior Project Control Officer at Domtar Corporation.  He is responsible for support of a team of Project Managers, providing coordination, communication and control functions.

A highly experienced Project Manager with more than twenty years of experience within the framework of the information technology and more than five years as project manager, Rogerio worked for several companies in Brazil especially in the finance industry at Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica Federal.  At the Bank of Brazil he managed the implementation of a workflow system at Legal Department in using electronic document imaging. In 2006, Rogerio worked in the PMO of Caixa Econômica Federal holding the responsibility of projects quality assurance, worked at X25 Technology, a PMI R.E.P in Brazil and taught the PMP Certification Preparation Course for more than 200 students in the last three years.

His credentials include MBA in Strategic Administration of Information Systems at Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a B.S. in Data Process Technology at Centro Unificado de Ensino de Brasília - UniCeub.  With high interest in studies about project management and IT service management, Rogerio obtained PMP certification in 2005. He is also, ITIL and COBIT foundations certificated.

As volunteer at IT&Telecom SIG, Rogerio participated at ProjectWorld 2008 in Toronto and currently performs a job as mentor in the Mentoring Program supported by IT&Telecom SIG.

Rogerio is Fluent in English, French and Portuguese and he moved to Montreal in 2008 with his wife Luciane, son Lucas, and daughters Juliana and Amanda. Here he is planning to continue the professional career as Project Manager.
